Turtle Beach Campground is Sarasota County’s premier beachfront campground on Siesta Key. You are only a moment’s stroll to Turtle Beach and your own personal paradise. From sunrise to sunset, it is truly a unique camping experience. This intimate campground features 39 RV and tent sites. Take the free open-air trolley into town and visit all that Siesta Village has to offer including restaurants, shops, sightseeing, and more.

Reservation Reschedules, Changes, No-Shows, and Cancellations:

All cancellation and reschedule requests must be submitted to turtlebeachcampground@scgov.net
All reservation reschedules, changes, or cancellations, resulting in a refund, are subject to a $25.00 processing fee and any request received less than 48 hours prior to check-in time are subject to a fee equal to the nightly rate.
Cancelled single night reservations are non-refundable, no additional fees required.
Reschedule or change requests will be accepted up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled check-in time. Guests are responsible for any price increase resulting from a reschedule. Availability for reschedule is not guaranteed.
No refunds shall be issued for early departures, late arrivals, inclement weather, or other environmental hazards.
Sliding Reservation: Sliding, advancing a campsite reservation beyond the allowed one year booking window, is not permitted. Once a campsite is reserved, a request for cancellation, reschedule, or change to an existing reservation will not be accepted until one year prior to the scheduled check out date.
No-Shows: Failure to arrive by 1 p.m. the day following your stated arrival date or not notifying the park by close of business on the reservation start date constitutes a no-show status. The site will then be released, and fees retained.

Turtle Beach Campground is one of only a few campgrounds in Florida with direct beach access.
Turtle Beach Campground was established as a Gulf Beach Campground in 1921 and was acquired by Sarasota County in 2006.
The campground is a quick, free trolley ride away from the white sands of Siesta Beach, previously rated the No. 1 Beach in the U.S. from TripAdvisor and Dr. Beach.
Sea turtle season is May 1 - Oct. 31. Experience the unique opportunity to see loggerhead and green turtle nests on the shores of Turtle Beach.

Closures:

The campground will close for maintenance Sept. 14, 2026 and reopen for check-ins on Sept. 18, 2026.
