DESCRIPTION:Join us at South Venice Lemon Bay Preserve to learn about the amazing eagle pair that calls this protected area home. A spotting scope will be on hand to allow a close look at the nest and its occupants while keeping a responsible distance. It's a great opportunity to understand the success story of our national bird and learn how to support and protect them as they face new challenges in a changing world.<br/><br/>Meet at the 6200 Osprey Road Parking Area. There will be a 0.5 mile walk to an area of the park where the spotting scope can be set up. Feel free to bring binoculars as well! On the way, you will have a chance to see the variety of unique Florida habitats that are represented at this preserve. Please be aware, dogs are not permitted at South Venice Lemon Bay Preserve.
