Join us at South Venice Lemon Bay Preserve to learn about the amazing eagle pair that calls this protected area home. A spotting scope will be on hand to allow a close look at the nest and its occupants while keeping a responsible distance. It's a great opportunity to understand the success story of our national bird and learn how to support and protect them as they face new challenges in a changing world.
Meet at the 6200 Osprey Road Parking Area. There will be a 0.5 mile walk to an area of the park where the spotting scope can be set up. Feel free to bring binoculars as well! On the way, you will have a chance to see the variety of unique Florida habitats that are represented at this preserve. Please be aware, dogs are not permitted at South Venice Lemon Bay Preserve. Registration is required.
