Join us for a naturalist guided hike at Curry Creek Preserve (east entrance), where we'll look for local wildlife and learn about native habitats. We will explore the preserve at a leisurely pace, stopping to observe and identify plants and animals as we walk. This 81-acre preserve is located north of Curry Creek, a tidal creek named after the Curry family, early pioneers who settled in the area. Visitors can explore a variety of native habitats along the trails, including longleaf pine flatwoods, scrubby flatwoods and mangrove fringe. Wildlife, including gopher tortoise, bald eagle, bobcat, and coyote, inhabit Curry Creek Preserve. Please see registration link for additional details.
