Join us for a naturalist guided hike at South Venice Lemon Bay Preserve where we'll look for local wildlife and learn about native habitats. We will explore the preserve at a leisurely pace, stopping to observe and identify plants and animals as we walk. The 222-acre preserve, nestled in the suburb of south Venice, contains some of the last remaining undeveloped bay shorelines in Sarasota County. These lands protect the water quality and estuary of Lemon Bay, a State Aquatic Preserve. The preserve also contains significant areas of scrub habitat that support families of the endangered Florida Scrub-Jay and Bald Eagle. Please see registration link for additional details.
